Visit a Replica of a Guantanamo Cell

This past spring, Amnesty International launched its national tour of a life-size Guantánamo prison cell replica. The Democratic and Republican National Conventions are the next stops.

The cell tour is a way to bring the harsh realities of illegal detention to concerned citizens and call attention to the injustice and human rights abuses that Guantánamo symbolizes.

You'll be able to enter the cell, go through the conditions of isolation and urge the U.S. government to charge detainees and give them fair trials, or release them. Indefinite detention without charge or fair trial is illegal and violates American principles of justice.

A Launch Event will be on Sunday, August 31 at 5 pm with Larry Cox, Executive Director of Amnesty International USA.

You can tour the cell from September 1-3, from 10:30am to 7:30pm,
at 7th and Walnut Streets in St. Paul, MN

Admission is Free
