
The Midwest Coalition for Human rights recognizes the importance of providing individuals and organizations with human rights education in the effort to address the systemic human rights violations occuring in our communities. MCHR member organization The Advocates for Human Rights' Education Program develops and distributes human rights education materials, educates and trains on human rights issues, and promotes innovative human rights education and resource.

Four times a year, the Advocates' writes and produces a newsletter designed to encourage and support human rights educators. "Rights Sites News" highlights a different human rights issue in each edition and are full of lesson plans, resources, and suggestions for teachers who want to incorporate human rights education in their classrooms.
