In "The Visitor," an American college professor and a young immigrant couple grapple with the treatment of immigrants and the legal process after 9/11. Their story paints a powerful picture of how the immigrant detention system’s human rights and due process violations affect all of us.

This event will be followed by a panel discussion with:

JUNAID AFEEF | Interim Executive Director, Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago
RASHED BINRASHED | An asylum seeker who was detained for more than two years in Illinois
COLBY KINGSBURY | The pro bono attorney who helped to free Rashed
TARA MAGNER | Director of Policy, National Immigrant Justice Center

The event is free and open to the public, but SPACE IS LIMITED!
