This one-day convening is designed to create and foster human rights advocates in Chicago. It brings together representatives from local universities, non-governmental and community-based organizations, and members of the community to discuss international and local human rights issues.
The conference will feature a Keynote Address by Representative Jan Schakowsky of Illinois' 9th Congressional District, who has fought throughout her career for economic and social justice and improved quality of life for all.
