The City of Iowa City Human Rights Commission is interested in  supporting the City of Iowa City in being a more inclusive community for  all of our neighbors, regardless of nationality, immigration status and  citizenship. They are asking for stories about the  experiences of immigrants - documented and undocumented - in the  community.

The University of Iowa Center for Human Rights (UICHR), founded in 1999, is a direct outgrowth of Global Focus: Human Rights '98, a year-long University of Iowa commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 10 December 1948.
